Having a bubble bath in His Majesty

What an exciting year 2014. Leaving London behind and have 167 days of adventure and drinks. But it is time for the last day of the year. We started the day with some sightseeing in Phnom Penh. We strolled around the center for a while before heading to the King’s palace where locals gathered around to sit in the grass, enjoy a drink and just bathe in the the huge picture of his majesty, and so did we.

I bought a small bottle of Mekong Sparkling Palm Wine for little money. The 8 percent wine that is made out of palm sap had a very sweet sappy smell to it, and was quite fizzy when I opened the bottle. It tasted was surprisingly good considering that it is made out of palm sap. Just like your regular semi-dry sparkling wine, it was slight sweet with a hint of bitterness and a woody aftertaste to it. Not a bad sparkling wine and considering the price I would definitely buy it again for a festive occasion.
