Foreign extra… extra what?

Our first day back in Malaysia. This time in the town of Melacca. We didn’t do much besides working and then going out for a drink. We forgot the time and I ended up buying a Guinness Foreign Extra Stout brewed in Malaysia. Not really the most authentic Malaysian drink but it is brewed here and you can find it anywhere.

The stout was rather cheap in relation to other beers and had the small can had the typical Guinness look and trademark on it. It had a dark brown foam that wasn’t as creamy as the original draught version that I love so much. The smell was sweet chocolate like with a hint of caramel in it. You could definitely feel 6.8 percent alcohol content and it also had an impact on the taste. It tasted strong, was bittersweet, and not as creamy as the draught. Definitely not as good as the original.
