365 Drinks: #271 Royal Signature Whisky (Myanmar)

Royal Signature Whiskey
Royal Signature Whiskey

Almost to the finish line!!

Today started with a massive hangover and the fact that we had to get up at 6am to catch a super slow train towards the Thai border didn’t help. We made our way back to Mawlamyine and did get splashed with water in the train every now and then. When we finally arrived, the only thing that was left to do was to get a drink, and this was definitely one of the days where I wished wouldn’t need to get one.

And as lucky as I am, the only thing that I haven’t had yet that was on stock was a bottle of double-matured Royal Signature Whisky. The 40 percent whisky came in a 300ml bottle and was pretty cheap. It had a pale clear amber colour and the smell was not too intensely alcoholic but rather sweet. The taste was harsh and strongly alcoholic with the typical whiskey flavors and a slightly vanilla tasting finish. Overall it was a flavourful experience that wasn’t too great.
