Today we had a little tour around Hong Kong, a lot of skyscrapers and expensive shit everywhere. Obviously there are not any big manufacturers of booze around because the rent prices are just too high. But luckily Hong Kong also has enough hipsters and foreigners to make little craft breweries profitable. So today we hit up a craft beer bar called The Globe, where I ordered a Hong Kong Beer Co. Oatmeal Stout.
The 6 percent beer had a nice dark cloudy look with a tiny white creamy head. It smelled sweet and grainy and was slightly thicker than your watery lager. The taste was sweet and mildly grainy with a hint of bitterness that was quite refreshing. A round taste that worked really well. Overall a very nice beer that was expensive (about $6 or £3.90 for a 0.2l glass), but it is good to have the option.
