Standard umeshu at a great little izakaya
Back in Osaka for the evening we decided to hit up a cheap but nice seafood izakaya near Nanba that we went to the other night. I ordered a Choya Nankou Umeshu plum wine for my second drink of the day. It had a orange-clear but quite thick body and was served in a tumbler with ice. The smell was slightly sweet but very subtle which was maybe caused by the ice. It tasted very sour and quite sweet with a nice plum flavour to it. With 10-11 percent alcohol, it was also not weak. Overall a very nice standard umeshu.
