Japan is petty expensive to travel. Food, drinks and accommodation are quite pricey. So we decided to get a cheap bite for dinner at a trendy but reasonably-priced izakaya. Of course I had to get some booze as well so I ordered a glass of Nikaido Barley Shochu. The clear spirit had around 35 percent alcohol and a fruity, alcoholic smell. It taste mainly like alcohol but also had a hint of fruity barley flavors to it. A cheap drink that tasted cheap.
