We went down to the rather small town of Takamatsu today. Why? Udon! I love those thick chewy noodles and the best ones apparently come from here, so we had to go. We arrived, dropped our bags, and had I had my first bowl of curry udon—delicious! After that we went for a drink in the nearby park. I brought a can of Takara Pickled Plum Shochu Highball. It just sounded interesting and the 7 percent can was pretty cheap, so I had to get it. The aroma was very mild, like carbonated water with a hint of plum. And it tasted like carbonated water with a hint of plum as well. The aftertaste had a mild shochu taste to it. Overall it was surprisingly easy to drink and I quite liked the slight sour, refreshing taste.
