The perfect crisp, cold red for summer
When we went to go buy something to drink for the day we got a surprise. They don’t sell booze after 9pm in supermarkets in Slovenia?! Why?? And why did we get refused to get one just 3 minutes after 9pm? Thank god the next local bar sold us a bottle of Slovenian wine for €10. This was the recommendation of the bartender. Must be good.
Well it was not the worst wine I ever had, but also not particularly great. Dark red color and 12% alcohol seem nice on the first glance. But the bottle came super cold and the wine itself was pretty sour (didn’t expect that judging from the color of the wine). It was easy to drink, but the intensive sourness was just too much after the first 1,5 glasses at that moment.
Semi’s note: This is the exact same shit house red I got at every “Italian” restaurant in Japan back in 2007-2010, served cold in a chilled glass. Does Japan secretly import all their wine from Slovenia? It was better than the watery, roséish wine we had at dinner the night before (a whopping 9.5%, also cold, also €10).

Slovenian wine has been pretty shit, sorry dudes
