Today we catched up with an old friend from London. She showed us a bit around and we got to go to her university town of Santa Cruz, where we had some beer. I ordered a Wilder Wheat, an American style hefeweizen by Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing. It had a slightly cloudy orange body with quite a creamy white head, and not much of a smell to it. The taste was a bit yeasty but also pretty watery with a bitter finish. Easy to drink but not too flavourful. The 5 percent alcohol content and the price of around $6 was also pretty average for an American beer. So, in general, pretty average
