Animals on labels as advertisement always works, at least with me. Today I found a bottle of Mendocino Red Tail Ale with a huge falcon on it. Of course I had to get it. The 6 percent red ale had a dark red or brown-clear body with a white head and a crisp, slightly metallic aroma. It tasted quite bitter but also sweet and a bit fruity. Not as intense flavourful like other ales but also not really too watery—it was easy to drink. Not too bad.
