More German stuff today: We visited a German town in Missouri with the plan to camp in one of the nearby parks but unfortunately the weather wasn’t too great. So we stayed the night in a motel near the highway. There wasn’t really much around and the local super market had a rather shit selection of beers. So I ended up drinking a St. Louis-based Boulevard Brewing Co. Unfiltered Wheat beer. It only had 3.1 percent alcohol and was pale-yellow and cloudy with a tiny bubbly white head. It smelled a bit yeasty sweet and had hints citrus aromas. The taste was quite watery with a tiny hint of yeasty sweetness. It was OK to drink but just too watery and weak on alcohol. Not really flavourful and surely not a beer I would consider buying again. Reminds me of the watery beers in Utah; hope the beer gets better as we go east.
