We always perform kinda poorly after a night out… forgot to snap a photo of this one
Today’s drink of the day was the recommendation of our Couchsurfing host in Chicago: an Apex Predator Farmhouse Ale. We bought a six pack which was around $12—a bit expensive but well worth it. The beer was cloudy pale yellow and had a creamy white head. It smelled sweet fruity and quite hoppy. The taste was sweet, fruity and refreshingly hoppy with a hint of yeast flavour to it. It reminded me of a German-style hefeweizen, but was a little stronger than your usual hefeweizen with 6.5 percent. The beer was easy to drink, not bitter and quite refreshing. Quite awesome.
