Downtown Detroit has several breweries to offer. Lucky for us the Motor City Brewing Works was in walking distance of our apartment so we didn’t hesitate to pay a visit. Since we’re in Detroit and at a brewery with such an iconic name, I couldn’t resist to take the famous Ghettoblaster, an English-style mild ale. It had a light brown slightly cloudy body with a small white creamy head. The smell was rather sweet and quite grainy. It tasted similar to it’s smell. Quite grainy with a hint of corn and earthy flavours to it. It was easy to drink and almost a bit watery but surely good for a hot day. With 4.2 percent it was also a bit low on alcohol, but still a nice beer.
