It was a sunny day in Detroit and since I had enough beer the last couple of days I decided to go for a cider to mix it up a little bit. This time a Woodpecker Premium Cider. Originally coming from the UK, this brand owned by Bulmers is producing English-style ciders near Massachusetts. The rather weak 4.2 percent “hard” apple cider had a clear dark yellow body and a nice not too sour but also not too dull apple aroma. It had a crisp taste to it with a good balance between sweet and sour apple flavours. A very nice cider for a hot summer day.
