Good beer to make up for the bad comedy…
Fringe festival in Toronto, time to hit up a bar and watch some stand up comedy. The comedians were mostly terrible so at least the beer had to be good. I ordered (several cans of) Great Lakes Brewing Canuck Pale Ale. This 5.2 percent pale ale came in a tallboy can, had a slightly dark body and not much of a head. It smelled very fruity and hoppy like an IPA. I was afraid that it would be super bitter but it actually tasted quite nice. Slightly watery but still flavourful with notes of hay and similarities to iced tea—perfect for a hot summer night. Brilliant beer.
