Living the motel life
Our short trip to Canada came to an end and we made our way over the border into the USA again (yay) with the goal of reaching New York City for the weekend. Since we didn’t want to drive the whole way in one go, we stopped in Buttfuckington, Nowhere. Not much there besides supermarkets and a liquor store. I decided to go with the supermarket and get me a beer. A Saranac Cloud Splitter Spiced Ale. This 6 percent beer from Utica, New York had a dark yellow, slightly cloudy body with a lot of gunk at the bottom of the bottle. It smelled like a skunk just filled up the bottle with its juices. The taste was a bit of a mix between liquorice and Chinese spices, but crisp and easy to drink with a hint of bitterness in the finish. Not the greatest beer I ever had but surely an interesting one.
