Forgot to take a picture during all the excitement

On our way back towards Detroit we stopped in State College Pennsylvania for the night.  Because of some weird Pennsylvanian liquor laws, most motels in the state have a small attached liquor store. I wasn’t really expecting a huge selection, but we heard that one particular beer Semi had on her wish list since we came to America was available in Pennsylvania. And indeed I found it: DuClaw’s Sweet Baby Jesus! Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter.

Yes you read correctly, a fucking chocolate peanut butter porter. It had a dark cloudy brown body with a coffee crema-coloured creamy large foam. The smell was very nutty, a bit earthy and with some malty aromas. It had 6.2 percent and an awesome, very creamy consistency. The taste was exactly how it’s named, like chocolate peanut butter. It had a strange strong taste of peanuts, and was sweet-salty with a hint of chocolate. The finish was bitter and it was like drinking a less sweet version of Reeses chocolate peanut butter eggs. An awesome beer.
