365 Drinks: #43 Burgasko Pivo (Bulgaria)

Burgasko Pivo
Burgasko Pivo

Common beer, show me some love

No hangover from yesterday’s long drinking session. Which is pretty good considering the amount. So off we go to a visit at Bulgarias biggest monument and then further down south to our last overnight stop in Bulgaria before we going to hit Turkey. The drive was pretty smooth besides the usual Bulgarian street madness. When looking for our hostel, the troubles begun. First try was a dirt road leading to nowhere. Then when we found the street, the house number we were looking for was not there. Later we found out that the street continues about 100 meter further but with no link to the other part. Wtf. So rather annoyed we decided to get some food and a drink. I needed the beer to cheer me up.

I ordered the local beer from the city nearby. Burgasko pivo. The 4.4% draught beer had a nice gold color and a creamy foam. The taste reminded me a bit of milk that went bad. Slightly sour and bitter. It also had quite a bitter after taste. Not really the best beer to get over an annoying evening.
