First drink over 20% wahooo
So today was planned for the first liquor in my list. But I have to admit that it was bit improvised. After getting to our hostel later than planned, there was not really any time nor motivation to go on the hunt for a bar and the according drink. So a can of the local beer was already poured. Till… we noticed an off-licence shop across the street. I have to say they have a brilliant selection there (probably because it’s right across the road from a students dormitory). The decision fell on the Butykos Keserü. A herb liquor that comes in a 0,04 glass bottle for 140 forint (0,50€).
To the drink… It has a nice slightly sweet smell and a light brown color. Quite different to the German variation of a herb liquor, this was sweeter and not bitter at all. It had a note of fennel in it and was pretty watery for a liquor, which made the drink not really taste like it had 28%. If somebody offered me one or maybe two before a party it would be ok. But I think three might be slightly disgusting. Overall a good start for the over 20 percents.
