So we’ve made it to Trabzon. It is quite a nice city with a nice bazaar, old city walls and we got to see another Hagia Sofia. Another highlight was the public viewing of the local teams football match. And nobody was drinking beer. Every five minutes a guy with 20 glasses of tea walked around and served people. And as soon as you heard the half time whistle, you could hear the imam calling for prayer as well. And half the party moved from watching football to praying in the nearby mosque. Truly fascinating. After all that it was time to get my daily fix. This time I had a bottle of white wine that we already bought quite some time ago.
This is the time, my love, to pour the wine
The marketing department was super smart here and printed this seductive line on the bottle. Quattro Beyaz white wine is made out of a mix of three different grapes, Narince, Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc. It looked watery light yellowish and smelled like sparkling wine. The taste was nicely sweet with a bit sour/bitter aftertaste that made it quite pleasent to drink. A nice, easy to drink wine that would have been much better if it would have been cold.
