Reunited at last

We made it out of Iran in one piece. Although me and Semi shared a room for the nights, some alcohol drinks and the dual citizenship issue. Now finally free! Finally some civilized country! Well unfortunately Turkmenistan is a dictatorship and there is no such thing as freedom. But at least they have booze. So here my first beer since 12 days. Zip 5 draft.

The most famous local brand (with an awesome name). It came in a 0.5 glass and winked right at me as it wanted to say “I was waiting for you all day long”. Oh yes, and I was waiting for you my friend. It was light yellow colored and had a small foamy head. It didn’t have much of a smell. The taste was a bit sweet hoppy with a metallic hint in it. It was super easy to drink and I would have gotten another one if the bar wouldn’t have turned the lights off due to closing. Apparently in a dictatorship everyone has to go home at 11pm. At least I had my beer.
